Wunderground 200 is an immersive, site-specific walkthrough experience celebrating 200 years of rail innovation. Hosted in the historic Brunel tunnels beneath Bristol Temple Meads at The Loco Klub, this project will educate, inspire, and engage audiences in the transformative impact of rail travel. Through interactive multimedia installations and sensory displays, visitors will explore the historical, cultural, and environmental significance of the railway.

The experience takes visitors on a curated journey from the dawn of rail travel to its role in shaping Bristol’s economy, communities, and industrial progress. Digital projections and atmospheric soundscapes will bring these stories to life, while key moments in railway history will be vividly recreated. The project will also look forward, emphasising rail’s role in sustainability and its potential to reduce carbon footprints, encouraging younger generations to view train travel as a vital and green alternative.
