Development Officer – The Invisible Circus/The Loco Klub ( 25 hours a month ) NJC pay scale  £21322 – £25991 pro rata 

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and skilled individual, with proven fundraising and application writing skills in the arts and culture sector, to support the creative community of The Invisible Circus and The Loco Klub. 

The Invisible Circus is a training centre and performance company, providing a wide variety of productions, from intimate theatrical experiences to large scale shows. The Loco Klub is the sister company and is a multi-use arts/theatre venue, steeped in history. It is a collaborative, cultural hub for Bristol, celebrating community, diversity, and the power of the arts.   

The role will be part-time and flexible and part funded by the Imagination Fund – Cultural Investment Programme until March 2023. 

Day/Hours – 25 hours a month/6.25 a week can be flexible to suit applicant. 

Location – Unit 15, Bristol BS20RA 

Salary dependable on experience  £21322 –  £25911 pro rata

Creative Producer- The Invisible Circus/The Loco Klub (18 hours a week) NJC payscale £25991 pro rata 

We are looking for an experienced Creative Producer to join our team as we move into an exciting time of growth. You will ideally have experience of circus, theatre and site-specific work and will be able to help define our programming vision, and work closely with our creative team, in a broad and varied programme of activity.

The producer will help develop and produce a diverse and accessible programme of indoor and outdoor work, both for The Invisible Circus, and our sister company The Loco Klub, both based in Bristol.

Duty Venue Manager

The Loco Klub is going through an exciting period of growth and to assist with this we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic new member of the venue team to work alongside the Venue Manager as a Duty Venue Manager. This role is freelance and part time, hours will vary but will be mostly weekend evenings and nights.

A full venue induction will be given to the successful candidate, and an opportunity to shadow our existing venue managers on events during your training period.

Assistant Bar Manager

It is a collaborative, cultural hub for Bristol, celebrating community, diversity and the power of the arts. 

The Loco Klub is going through an exciting period of growth and to assist with this we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic new member of the venue team to work alongside the Bar Manager as Assistant Bar Manager. 

This role is freelance and part time, with a minimum guarantee of 15 hours per week. Hours will vary but will be mostly weekends and evenings. 

Main responsibilities 

● Supporting the Bar Manager 

● Bar set up and clean down 

● Stock takes and ordering 

● Handling deliveries 

● Keeping up to date with licensing 

● Enforcing health and safety 

● Cellar maintenance & line cleaning 

● Sound knowledge of spirits, wines and ales 

● Till maintenance including cashing up and float orders 

● Recruiting, training and motivating staff 

● Staff organisation and rotas 

● Assisting the Venue Manager with setting up for events and ad hoc tasks ● Attending weekly management meetings

Person Specification 

● At least two years previous bar experience 

● At least 6 months experience at a managerial level (bar manager / assistant manager) ● Numerate and experienced in cashing up 

● Experience with EPOS 

● Reliable, punctual and organised 

● Able to work efficiently on your own and be a good team player 

● Personal License Holder (useful, but not essential) 

● Event management experience (desirable, not essential) 

● Friendly 

● Over 18 years of age 

Job Type: Part-time, permanent
